| Phenotype | Embryos develop apparently normally through gastrulation but by tailbud stage they exhibit a short A-P axis due to a variety of tissue defects. Axial extension is arrested from this stage and at tadpole stage embryos remain short and have a variety of tissue defects including a lack of eyes and truncated posteriors. |
