Post-doctoral fellows

If you are interested in joining the lab as a postdoc, send an email to Julie Ahringer outlining your research interests. Also include a CV that contains the contact details of at least two people who can provide a letter of reference for you. Post-doctoral funding is sometimes available, but it is expected that postdocs will apply for independent funding.

PhD students

IIf you are interested in joining the lab as a PhD student, write to Julie Ahringer outlining your research interests, and include a CV that contains the contact details of at least two people who can provide a letter of reference for you. PhD students are funded by a variety of routes. We participate in the BBSRC Doctoral training programme and the MRC doctoral training programme, which entail direct applications to the programmes and rotations during the first year. Some international PhD studentships are also available via application through the Department of Genetics, our home department (e.g, Gates, CHSS, Cambridge Trust, CISS). Other students are funded by external fellowships, often obtained from their home countries.
